My God

"The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.  He will not always accuse, nor will He harbor His anger forever; He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.  For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him; as for as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.  As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him; for He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust."

Psalm 103:8-14

My God isn't an angry God, sitting in heaven, waiting for me to sin so He can smite me.
My God doesn't treat me like my sins deserve; He pardons me when I should die.

My God doesn't hold my sins over my head, reminding me of them constantly.
My God removes my sin completely; it is farther from me than the east from the west.

My God doesn't hold me to an unattainable standard and laugh as I fall short.
My God holds me to an unattainable standard and gives me His Son to make up for my shortcomings.

My God is a God of love and compassion.
He remembers my sin no more.
He gave His Son, who bled a died so that I could feel the love of God.

That is my God.
