MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!!

Merry Christmas a day early everyone! december has gone too fast this year. it seems like it shouldn't be december 24, more like the 13th or 14th. i am still excited nonetheless. i'm going to have so much fun today and tomorrow. i can hardly believe its already christmas eve! merry christmas everyone!

library

ok so we went to the library this afternoon. i had like 10 books that i returned. i went to check out my books and all them checked out except the last two. turns out my card was maxed out! :) it haden't counted the books i had turned in, so it thought i had 24 books checked out! :) so right now i have 14 books to read, cuz i wont be back in the library until after the new year! im sure the librarians groan when we walk in to the library! :) i need to get to work on those........

the cousins part 2

ok so my cousins and my uncle came over to decorate cookies yesterday. it wasn't that bad, actually. except for the fact that the younger one kept calling my uncle a girl. then we kept calling my cousin brenna, because he said that if he was a girl, his mom would have named him peyton, but he would have preferred brenna. so we got a good laugh.

the cousins part 1

ok so my cousins came over last night. we watched prince caspian [:)] but we didn't get to finish it so they took it home with them to finish watching [:( ] theyre coming over again today to bake cookies. this should be interesting. my uncle is also coming over. that might help, but im not sure. we'll have to see.

christmas

i can hardly believe that christmas is only 5 days away!!! i hope i'm not the only one!! :) suprisingly, i haven't really been busy. i bought my last two gifts yesterday, although i might buy one more. i would tell you what i got everybody, but there might be sneaky family members that would find out their presents, so......... :) tomorrow my cousins come over. they live 30 minutes away, and they go to public school so i don't get to see them much. then tuesday they and my uncle will come over and make some Christmas cookies. we'll go to nana and poppop's for Christmas. it'll be so fun. christmas has really snuck up on us this year.

this is my favorite time of year. all the christmas lights and the air smelling of wood fires and cinnamon; the cookies and the turkey and all the friends and family gathering around to celebrate the birth of Jesus, this time of year compares to no other. like our pastor said in church this morning, not only is christmas a holiday, but a holyday. if it hadn't been for christmas and Jesus being born, we wouldn't have our salvation. christmas really makes you think, doesn't it! :)

i have officially decided that when ALL 7 narnia movies come out, i will buy them all and watch them all in a row in chronological order. i don't care if it takes 10 hours........ :)

Be Prepared: Long Post!! :)

Ok, so this is a long post, but i did a lot today so here goes. today we went to a christmas parade in downtown dallas. it was really cool. there were lots of dancers, and ballons, too. we sat right by a stop light post thing, and the balloons either had to go over it (hard) under it (harder) or through it (extremely hard)!!! they had all of those people dressed up in costumes like cartoon characters. there was arthur and all the looney toons and clifford. they also had people dressed up as superheroes, like ironman and spiderman and hulk. they had all these old (really old, like, i think there was even a model t!) cars with the costume characters, and there were floats too. there were a ton of different people in the parade on horseback, like the tarrant county marshall posse (i think thats what it was called) and the medieval times knights, and the dallas mounted police. there was even a part in the parade that was star wars (random, i dont even like star wars, it was just cool). then afterward we went to spaghetti warehouse. we walked there even though it was freezing cold. there i had sourdough bread with garlic butter and italian wedding soup and ravioli with meat and ravioli with cheese and a ton of marinara sauce. we walked past all of the really tall buildings, so tall that you hurt your neck when you tried to see the top. i had a lot of fun, and i was frozen stiff, so now im going to thaw out with a mug of hot chocolate. comment if you read the whole thing! :)
